Tomorrow I leave for...

Plane leaves at 1:30pm from OKC to Atlanta, and then I leave Atlanta at 8:30pm to arrive in Edinburgh at 9:30am Sunday morning.  A full semester long of nonstop Scottish fun: Priceless.

Yeah, I'm going to Oktoberfest later this month.

And for all you facebook junkies out there keep checking my profile for updated photos! Maybe I will have videos on my myspace too if I can figure out how to do that...

There's a lot of things I don't understand. Why so many people lie. It's the hurt I hide that fuels the fire inside me...

Well this semester is finally coming to a close, and with it my whole sophmore year of college.  It is kind of sad to think about how much time has flown by.  It seems like just yesterday I was moving in as a freshman.  This year has been fun, but at the same time it was filled with extreme chaos.  In high school I complained about homework that only came up every now and then.  In college, however, I am finding myself doing work everyday after classes for a good portion of the night.  It gets really overwhelming, but it has to get done.

Yesterday had to have been one of my least favorite days ever.  I had an ecology and organic chemistry final on the same day! I was studying like mad up until I took both tests, but they are over now so I am thrilled.  Only one more final  left, but I am not worried about it.  Who cares about economics anyway!?

Finally got an email telling me I was accepted into the University of Edinburgh.  I can't wait to study abroad next fall! It is going to be amazing.  I have a few other friends going to so at least I won't be completely alone.  I think I am going to live in a "flat" where I have to take care of getting my own food.  I think I can handle it...

Going home on Tuedsay.  Yeah I am excited... it will be fun...

Man I love KT Tunstall... I have wanted to buy her cd for over half a year, and I finally got around to it last week.  It is the only thing I have been listening to since then!  She has some great down to earth songs, with the ability to make them sound epic.

Anyways, this past month gets exponentially more hectic as the days go by!  The semester is almost over though, so only a few more weeks until vacation bliss, and then short term.  Speaking of short term... talk is going around about another trip to Montreal!  Beer, anyone?  I didnt actually say that...

So I got the best news this weekend.  I was offered a job to work with a professor on his research this summer here at Bates! Very cool!  Going to spend a couple of months cutting up rats and determining chemical pathways, or something along those lines... once I do more reading on the subject, and go in to talk to my professor then I will be able to explain it better.  Seems like it took an eternity to figure out what I was planning on doing this summer.  Especially after getting rejected from two internships... still waiting to hear back from one more, but I guess it doesnt matter now.  Speaking of waiting, I am still waiting to hear back from the University of Edinburgh in regards to studying abroad next semester.  I am not too worried about not getting in, but I guess you never know.

Break should be fun.  I am going home for a couple of weeks.  Getting some time to spend with the family and friends, so it should be a jolly good time!  I wish I had a British accent... that would be so awsome, and then the ladies would find me sexy... or at least that seems to be the general consensus that men with accents are hotter... I am not too sure about that though.

I was told to wander the streets and get lost while in Edinburgh.  It would be nice to see what would happen if I did that, but I am not too excited about finding myself alone and possibly getting mugged or something bizzar like that.  I will keep everyone updated on my adventures on the other side of the world when I go...

This is what you get when you mess with us, and for a moment there I lost myself...

Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

Well this week has been interesting.  Here are a few good things that have happened...

1. Finally finished the dreaded pine lab... its a long 17 pages of misery, but sheer excitement from the conclusions that I was able to draw... I am now an expert on the growth patterns of eastern white pines (pinus strobus L.)

2. Went to the long awaited Sigur Ros concert on Monday night.  It was if the most beautiful thing in the universe had landed in front of me and I alone was there to witness it.  For those brief few hours everything in the world came to life and made sense.  it was more than a concert... it was an experience!  Here are some pics...

3. Only one more week until February break!

4.  Got to go skiing twice this winter so far... I'm getting better at it, and the things I have learned in the past are starting to come back to me.

On a final note... I am tired of the whole "he said she said" crap... lets stop being stupid people.  Its starting to get really old
